Text Box: Tie-dying t-shirts brought back that 70’s feeling at BHCC. Groovy!

Midge Carpenter is still at it, quilting away.  This fall she has volunteered to make us a handmade  quilt to be raffled off for our activities fund.  Pictured left, is Midge with a quilt someone pieced and donated to our Activity Dept.  Be on the lookout for the new quilt to be displayed by the front desk.  We’ll be selling chances for $1 for 1 ticket or $5 for 6 tickets.

Bibles Donated

Ed and Shirley Moore came to our home bearing Bibles and large print New Testaments.  They volunteer for Gideons      International, which is an           organization that collects monies from local churches to distribute Bibles and New Testaments to  nursing facilities, hospitals, service people and school children in some states, free of charge.  Last year the organization delivered 70  million Bibles and New Testaments to 190 countries.  Their goal this year is 80 million.  This is a      wonderful service and we felt their efforts deserved our recognition.  Thank you Gideons International and Ed and Shirley for this       wonderful gift.

Let’s Quilt!

Text Box: Back to School by way of the Pool!
Text Box: Once again, Barnesville Health Care Center showed their support to the local school children and their parents by participating in the “Back to School” by way of the pool program. School children of different grade levels were presented with an abundance of needed school supplies that were donated by local businesses. To add to all the excitement of the goodies the kids picked up for school, they also had an enjoyable trip to the Barnesville pool. Have a great school year!
